About Us

Core Values & Ethical Framework

The F.O.U.N.D.A.T.I.O.N. of S.L.A.T.E. Family Services represents the core values that guide all services, decisions, and relationships within the organization. These principles shape how we support individuals, partner with families, and uphold ethical, faith-centered, and professionally responsible practices.

F – Faith

God is our foundation. His word is our blueprint, His love is trustworthy, and He provides stability and purpose in all that we do.

O – Others (Family & Community)

Family is the cornerstone of growth and identity. We believe success is built through family involvement and community partnership—it takes a village to support independence and success.

U – Understanding (Empathy & Cultural Respect)

We honor diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and cultural backgrounds through empathy, compassion, and respect.

N – Integrity (Moral Character)

We uphold integrity by consistently acting with honesty, reliability, and strong moral character, even when it is difficult.

D – Duty (Accountability)

We take responsibility for our actions, acknowledge mistakes, learn from them, and grow—living by the principle of owning our actions and continuously improving.

A – Awareness (Self-Reflection)

We practice self-awareness daily, recognizing how personal values, biases, and emotions influence decisions for both staff and clients.

T – Thoughtful Judgment (Critical Thinking)

We approach challenges with ethical reasoning, objectivity, and informed decision-making to resolve conflicts responsibly.

I – Integrity in Action (Ethical Practice)

We adhere to professional ethical standards, including confidentiality, boundaries, and client rights, while following recognized codes of ethics.

O – Open Communication (Conflict Resolution)

We maintain respectful, honest communication, especially during difficult or tense situations.

N – Noble Courage (Moral Courage)

We speak up, report unethical behavior, advocate for family inclusion, and protect the dignity and rights of those we serve.

Together, these values support the development of strong moral judgment, ethical leadership, and socially responsible behavior. The F.O.U.N.D.A.T.I.O.N. of S.L.A.T.E. empowers our clients, families, staff, and community while guiding our program toward meaningful, ethical, and sustainable success.
