Cizo Perez-Murray serves as a Direct Skills Provider (DSP) at S.L.A.T.E. Family Services, supporting individuals in building independence, confidence, and daily living skills. Diagnosed with autism at the age of two, Cizo’s journey, determination, and personal growth are the foundation of S.L.A.T.E. Family Services and directly inspired the creation of the organization.
Cizo is a graduate of the Yelm Community School District and made history as the first Special Education (SPED) student to work in the district as a substitute paraeducator. Since January 2025, he has continued serving the district in this role, bringing lived experience, empathy, and insight to educational settings.
As a DSP, Cizo is a strong advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is deeply committed to promoting independence, inclusion, and self-confidence. His lived experience and dedication make him a role model and an invaluable member of the S.L.A.T.E. Family Services team.
