For-Profit Program

Slate Family Services, LLC is a Washington-based, for-profit organization providing non-clinical, skills-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our services focus on building independence, practical life skills, and meaningful community participation through individualized, person-centered support.
Our approach is educational and habilitative—not clinical. We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. Instead, we focus on teaching, modeling, and reinforcing real-life skills that support long-term independence and quality of life.
What We Do
Slate Family Services, LLC provides structured support in areas such as:
- Daily living and independent living skills
- Social and community skills development
- Self-advocacy and decision-making support
- Workforce readiness and job-related skill building
- Goal setting, progress tracking, and skill reinforcement
Services are delivered using individualized service plans, informed by observation, data tracking, and ongoing collaboration with the individual and their support network.
Who We Serve
Our services are designed for adults ages 18 and older and may be accessed through:
- Private pay arrangements
- State-authorized or contracted services, including developmental disability support systems, when applicable
All supports are tailored to meet each individual’s strengths, learning style, and goals.

Slate Family Services, LLC is a for-profit organization. Services provided through the LLC are not tax-deductible and are distinct from programs offered through Slate Family Services Foundation, a separate nonprofit entity.
