Slate Family Services, LLC is a Washington-based, for-profit organization contracted with the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to provide Alternative Living services, effective October 1, 2026. Our non-clinical, skills-based services support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, practical life skills, and meaningful community participation through individualized, person-centered support.

Our approach is educational and habilitative—not clinical. We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, counseling, applied behavior analysis, medical treatment, or crisis services. Supports may include daily living skills, communication and community participation, self-advocacy, decision-making, workforce readiness, goal setting, and skill practice. Individual eligibility and service authorization requirements apply.

Alternative Living supports are guided by individualized goals and applicable DDA service requirements and coordinated, as appropriate and with permission, with the person's chosen support network. Slate Family Services, LLC is DDA-contracted for Alternative Living effective October 1, 2026. Service delivery depends on individual eligibility, authorization, referral acceptance, and current provider availability. Private-pay educational or coaching services may be offered separately, depending on availability.
