
S.L.A.T.E. Family Services, LLC provides Alternative Living (AL) services for adults age 18 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Alternative Living program is designed to support individuals in developing the independence needed to live a safe, and successful life as independently as possible.
The Alternative Living (AL) Program supports adults with IDD in safe, stable, and supportive home environments. Services are person-centered and focus on skill development, daily living support, and community inclusion, while respecting each individual’s goals, preferences, and autonomy.
- Daily living skills and routines
- Community integration and participation
- Health and safety support
- Social skills and relationship building
- Self-advocacy and decision-making
- Support with employment or vocational goals, as appropriate
Alternative Living services are available to all Private Pay clients, and eligible adults age 18 and older who are authorized through the Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS). Services are delivered in accordance with each client’s Individual Support Plan (ISP) and applicable state regulations.
The Alternative Living Program is a Medicaid-authorized service and is subject to DDCS oversight and compliance requirements. Services are not available to individuals under the age of 18.
